This was my problem.

Downloading videos to use in my edits used to be painful.

I’d leave Premiere, go to sketchy websites, accidentally click the wrong download button and wait minutes to convert files. And that’s just for one video.

Multiply that by several videos a day… on different platforms… using sites that got taken down every week.

It was a nightmare.

One day, I found a free plugin on Reddit that could download videos directly into Premiere Pro. It felt like a dream come true… until it wasn’t.

It could only download in 720p, and sometimes videos just disappeared. The plugin eventually became outdated, unsupported, and abandoned. I was back to square one.

The turning point:

I was sick of this issue.

I tried partnering with a programmer, but he ghosted me after a week.

Frustrated, I said enough is enough and spent months teaching myself how to create Adobe extensions.

The result? VideoVault was born.

It started small: one video at a time, from any website. Editors loved it.

But I wanted more. So I built VideoVault 2 with fewer bugs, quality control, and the ability to download to custom paths.

Then disaster hit. My hard drive corrupted, and I lost everything.

What now?
